Acacia floribunda is a large bushy shrub or small tree, usually 2-4 m high but slender and up to 15 m in more shaded areas. It is common along river and creek banks in the Sydney area.
Acacia floribunda has crowded phyllodes (leaf-like structures) which are long, narrow and straight or slightly curved. They have one central vein and numerous fine branching veins.
The flowers are pale yellow and cylindrical. Acacia floribunda flowers from July - November.
