Acacia longifolia var. longifolia is a hardy wattle - widespread, but usually short lived. Its main habitat is along creeks and swamps, but will quickly "move into" cleared or disturbed ground. It is a large rounded shrub or small tree growing to 3-4m.
The 8-20cm phyllodes of Acacia longifolia var. longifolia are green, thin, and fairly stiff, distinguished by 2 main veins, one more prominent than the other.
The flowers are golden yellow and cylindrical.
Acacia longifolia var. longifolia flowers from July to November.
