Once known as Port Jackson wattle, Acacia terminalis ssp. angustifolia is a graceful, open shrub usually about 1.5m high. The branches were a source of witchetty grubs.

Acacia terminalis ssp. angustifolia is distinguished by its profuse, showy yellow globular flowers. The pinnate leaves are dark green and shiny above, paler and duller underneath.

It grows abundantly on moist ground in lightly forested areas, often in poor soil. It can be seen along the roadsides in the park.

Acacia terminalis ssp. angustifolia flowers from March to July.
