Correa reflexa var. reflexa

Correa reflexa is a small spreading shrub, 1 - 1.5 m tall, depending on conditions. It is found in sheltered, moist sites in woodland, on clay or sandstone.

The leaves are opposite, and may be heart-shaped or elliptic. The upper surface is green, sometimes rough and hairy, while the underside is pale, dotted with oil glands and covered with rusty star-hairs on the veins (and stems).

The drooping, terminal flowers are shaped like tubed bells, varying in colour from red with yellow or green tips, to entirely pale green in forest situations.

Correa reflexa flowers from June into Spring.
