Darwinia biflora is an upright but straggly shrub 20 - 80cm high, found along sandstone ridge areas associated with Wianamatta shale.
The leaves are softish and triangular in cross-section, 6-10 mm long..
The green flowers of Darwinia biflora are in groups of 2, surrounded by two red bractioles nearly as long as the floral tube, 5-8 mm. The green straight style is 10-14 mm.
Darwinia biflora is listed as a Vulnerable species, as most of its preferred ridge-tops are now residential areas.
Darwinia biflora flowers from July to November.
