Epacris longiflora

This showy epacris can be found in quite shady places. It can grow to 1.5. high, but is often straggly, with branches laden with rows of flowers bowing down towards the ground. Epacris longiflora is commonly found on rocky ground on Sydney sandstone.

The tough, prickly, heart-shaped leaves are 5-12mm long, with parallel veins.

The pink/red and white tubular flowers of Epacris longiflora are 12-20 mm long, growing pendulously from the leaf axils.

Epacris longiflora mainly flowers from April to November, but spot flowering may occur at any time of the year.
