Gompholobium latifolium is a pea flower which stands out with its large bright yellow flowers 3 cm wide. The bush is erect, 1-2m high, growing in dappled shade in forests on sandstone.

The flowers of Gompholobium latifolium are single, on short stalks, usually on the upper branches. The keel of the flower is fringed by tiny white hairs.

The leaves of Gompholobium latifolium consist of 3 leaflets, 3-5cm long and 3-5mm wide, flat or with margins slightly curved under.

Gompholobium latifolium flowers from September to November.
