This variety of Lasiopetalum ferrugineum is an erect shrub commonly growing to 1.5m in woodland on sandstone.

The leaves vary from linear to lance-shaped, 3-10cm long. They are hairless above, with rusty hairs underneath.

The small clusters of flowers of Lasiopetalum ferrugineum are rusty coloured and permanently drooping and withered looking.

Lasiopetalum ferrugineum normally flowers in Spring.
