Leucopogon juniperinus is a prickly shrub, growing to about 1m high, with a straggling look but dense where a group of sub-branches forks. It grows in forest understoreys, but is also often found along roadsides.

The small dense leaves, 5-10mm long, are narrow and sharply pointed, with pungent points.

The white tubular flowers are 5-7mm long, with the floral tube about twice as long as the sepals. They arise singly or in pairs in the leaf axils.

Leucopogon juniperinus is similar to Leucopogon ericoides, but the flowers are longer and the leaves more densely crowded.

Leucopogon juniperinus flowers from July to October.
