Lomandra obliqua
Fish Bones, Twisted Mat-rush
Family: Xanthorrheaceae
Lomandra obliqua is a low, sprawling plant. It grows in open forest on sandy soils.
The blue-grey leaves are short, 2-4 cm long, flat and twisted, on stiff branches. They lie evenly spaced along the branch, all in one plane. The tips of the leaves are not toothed. Obliqua refers to the leaves being asymmetrical.
The stalkless yellow flowers grow in clusters along a spike.
Lomandra obliqua flowers from September to November.
