Pultenaea daphnoides
Large-leaf Bush Pea
Family: Fabaceae
Pultenaea daphnoides is an erect shrub, common in sheltered, denser, moist positions in sandstone woodlands. It is slender, growing to about 2-3m.
The leaves resemble those of the Daphne, being flat and smooth, with a prominent mid vein, ending in a spined tip.
The yellow pea flowers of Pultenaea daphnoides have red centres and form dense clusters at the ends of the branches. Before they open they have obvious brown bracts protecting the bud. These fall off when the flower opens.
Pultenaea daphnoides flowers from August to November.
