Pultenaea stipularis

Fine-leaf Bush Pea

Family: Fabaceae

Pultenaea stipularis is a fairly common pea flower found on Sydney sandstone in heath and woodland. It is an erect shrub to about 2m high, with sparse branches.

The slender, spreading leaves, up to 30mm, are densely crowded along the stems. The stems themselves are covered by brown stipules, leaf-like scales up to 10mm long.

The flowers are densely clustered at the end of the stems. The clusters are about 3cm across.

Pultenaea stipularis flowers from September to October.
