Jenkins kitchen, built 1855, restored by Friends of LCNP and opened by NSW Environment Minister Matt Kean in 2019.

The building now known as Jenkins Kitchen was built by the Jenkins family from locally quarried stone around 1855, as the stand alone kitchen for their homestead. Unfortunately the homestead burnt down in the 1940s but the kitchen remains and was restored by the Friends of LCNP with the aid of a NSW Heritage near me grant in 2019. It now functions as an interpretation centre for the park.

Below are photos of the restoration project and opening including a smoking ceremony.
