Friends oppose 18 story development on edge of park.

Eden Gardens, the nursery that adjoins the park near the Tunk’s Hill area, has applied to redevelop their single story nursery building into an eighteen story office block that will house over 2,000 people.

Friends of LCNP and many other people consider that this is totally unacceptable on what was intended to be a ’buffer’ site between the park and the high rise of the Macquarie Park commercial area. Friends have submitted a formal objection as have many other people. Councilors and local politicians have spoken against the development, and channel 9 covered the story.

Due to the size of the project, and the number of objections the decision on this application will be made by the Northern Sydney Planning Panel. Interested parties including Friends will be able to make submissions to the panel.
